Job Losses slows down

Since our last Congress in 2007, the union has assisted over a 1 000 schools covering over 35 000 learner and more than 10 000 teachers with numeracy and literacy skills support through our Edupeg Project.

Since our last Congress in 2007, the union has tested 58 000 members for HIV and counselled each on their status.

Since our last Congress in 2007,  a total of 23 accountants, 5 lawyers, 8 engineers and 4 medical doctors have graduated with assistance from the union bursary fund.

Since our last Congress in 2007, SACTWU has paid out over R19m in funeral and retirement fund payments
