On 16th November 2013 SACTWU hosted yet another successful Spring Queen. The Good Hope Centre was packed with 5000 workers attending and being entertained by cultural dancers and local talent which included Mady Abrahams, Karen Kortjie, Jody Williams, Crushanda Forbes and Nur Abrahams.

The fashion pageant showcased local garments and at the same time showing off the ladies who contributed to the manufacturing of the clothing.

This year the SACTWU’s Got Talent competition was won by Mallishia Koopman from Als Clothing.

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

46 ladies took to the stage in beautiful gowns and impressed the judges. After six weeks of practice and trying to find the right look, Muneera Lewis, from Hanover Park, and who works at Elzet was announced as the SACTWU Spring Queen for 2013.

Anela Mnyatheli from Monviso is our 1st Princess, with Anastazia Pypers from Waltex as the 2nd Princess. The prize for Miss Personality was awarded to Paegan Kearns from Barrie Cline, Seardel Apparel’s Gasnah Coetzee judged as being Best Dressed.
