SACTWU settles wage negotiations in Woven and Crochet textile sector Print

The COSATU-affiliated Southern African Clothing and Textile Workers’ Union (SACTWU) has settled its 2016 wage negotiations for the Woven and Crochet Textile sector.

Workers will receive a 10% package increase.  Approximately 1100 workers from 37 factories, nationally, will benefit from this increase.

Wage negotiations were concluded yesterday and the settlement was reached under the auspices of the National Textile Bargaining Council.

Increase is effective from 1st July 2016
