APPOINTMENT OF SACTWU GENERAL-SECRETARY TO THE CABINET

The Southern African Clothing & Textile Workers' Union (SACTWU) welcomes the appointment of its General Secretary, Ebrahim Patel, as Minister of Economic Development in President Jacob Zuma's cabinet.

We know him as a hard worker, dedicated to the struggle of workers and the poor.

We wish him well and want him to know that the members and officials of SACTWU appreciates the work he has done over the past 24 years and the work which he will continue to do in his new position.

SACTWU will always be his home.
